If I could give these guys more stars I would. Such a lovely home!! We did not get the chance to meet John as he was away but Amy was a Delight!! So friendly, sweet and helpful. I loved the simple touches to this home. The decor was charming yet historic. Each room had its own personality which I loved. The dining area and parlor were my favorites. We stayed in The Pinehurst room. Very spacious. Our room also had a vintage fridge and microwave. Soooo cute and very useful. The tile floor in the bathroom was yet another favorite. Original and gorgeous with greens and grays. Coordinated well representing Pinehurst. The bed was so comfortable and cosy we slept in easily. I plan to make this an annual stay. See you next year Amy and Whiskey!!!

This house had the type of feel my wife and I look for in a bed n breakfast. Amy and John were great hosts and very friendly. Let's not forget whiskey (pet dog) was a great addition to the experience. The environment inside and out was amazing!! I would recommend the Carriage House Inn and we look forward to another visit in the future

This place was wonderful. Friendly hosts and nicely decorated and very clean. Has large rooms with nice private baths. Nice sitting areas.. quaint happy hour. All of your needs will be met and location is very convenient. John and Amy have done a great job. Definitely would stay here again.

Our room was lovely and felt very welcoming with a comfortable bed. The staff here were so kind and genuinely accommodating from the moment we arrived. We also loved the daily happy hour. While the breakfast is continental style (rather than a full hot menu), it was fresh and convenient, and the B&B is perfectly situated so that everything in town is within walking distance. If you’re craving a different kind of meal or a heavy brunch, you’re just a short stroll away from several local spots. A perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.

We had the most wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Amy personally showed us around and made us feel completely at home. What truly set them apart was how accommodating and thoughtful they were. After my girls completed the Oak Island run, they graciously extended our checkout time and made sure breakfast was still available for us — something we appreciated more than they know. Amy and John were warm, friendly, and genuinely attentive to every detail. It’s rare to find a place that blends comfort with such heartfelt service. We would absolutely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special experience.

This was such a nice quick get away for my husband and myself. The Inn was beautiful and in a great location for walking to everything. Amy and John couldn't have been better hosts. From the recommendations of places to eat to the wonderful HH at 4:30. Such down to earth nice people.. We will definitely be back!!!

I cannot say enough nice things about the quality of the service and accommodations. Amy and John have thought of everything. They are a wealth of information. This is a comfortable, charming Inn with great food and conversation for continental breakfast, great happy hour wine and a delicious cheese platter. The location is perfect with easy parking and within walking distance of the major sites. The guests were lots of fun. Can’t wait to return one day.

John and Amy were great hosts. In the past I’ve stayed at B&B’s that are a bit stuffy, whereas the feel here was casual and relaxed. The location was great - a short walk to the heart of downtown Southport. Plenty of coffee, tea, and beverage selections along with beer and wine, with a complimentary happy hour each day. If I come to Southport again will definitely stay at The Carriage House Inn.

Oh my goodness this place was so amazing!! John and Amy were gracious and accommodating. I needed to change my reservation on a holiday weekend? "Easy." I need to find a shaded place in the backyard for my cooler? "Of course and we loaded the ice maker for you as well" The house is gorgeous. The room was perfect. Lots of tiny extras and unexpected delights. From the Handbook of the Recently Arrived to the High Quality H2O. We can't wait to come back for Happy Hour!!!

We just came back from a wonderful weekend at the Carriage House Inn. Amy, John, and Whiskey were very warm and welcoming. Whiskey even brought us one of his toys. The room, The Yaupon Room, was very nice and comfortable, and it had everything we would need. The Inn has so many rooms and porches to just sit and relax. We enjoyed Happy Hour every evening with a light charcuterie and drinks. This allowed us to hang out before going out to dinner and also get to know some of our follower travelers and our hosts. The inn is also within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. I would definitely recommend The Carriage House Inn.
